Drug Injury and
Legal Compensation

How to get legal compensation
for a drug injury?

The most common way to make a claim for legal compensation for a disease or death caused by a drug injury is the filing of a legal claim as a court case.

Each state has a statute of limitations that determines the time period within which one may file a drug injury claim. For example, in some states a personal injury claim must be filed within 3 years from the date that the adverse drug reaction, drug-drug interaction, or medication error is diagnosed. Likewise, some states require that a wrongful death claim be filed within 2 years from the date of a death which was caused by a drug injury. It is very important to realize that these statutes of limitations, or deadlines, vary from state to state.

Because of these statutory deadlines, a person should not delay in finding a lawyer to provide legal advice and legal representation when there is a possible legal claim involving a drug injury.
