Enbrel: Multiple Sclerosis and Blood Disorders

Enbrel (etanercept) is prescribed for rheumatiod arthritis (RA) and psoriatic arthritis.

There have been adverse event reports of serious infections, some involving sepsis, in patients using Enbrel. Some Enbrel patients have died due to infection.

Furthermore, there have been adverse event reports of multiple sclerosis (MS), convulsions or seizures, and eye inflammation, as well as other central nervous system (CNS) disorders. Enbrel has also been associated with several hematological (blood) disorders, some involving death.
