Baycol Class Actions
An Individual Lawsuit is Better
After the Baycol recall on August 8, 2001, many different Baycol lawsuits were filed around the country. As you may know, some of these Baycol lawsuits seek to become "class actions." Some of the Baycol class action cases filed apparently include people who did not have any injury resulting from their use of Baycol.
Our law firm believes that people who suffered a serious Baycol injury or a death due to Baycol are better served when an individual lawsuit filed. We do not think a serious injury or death case should be filed together with the claims of many other people, some of whom may not have experienced any injury from Baycol.
Based on our experience with Baycol litigation, it seems to us that a class action is probably not the best way to handle an injury or death case involving any of the following:
- Rhabdomyolysis
- Acute Renal Failure
- Kidney Failure
- Kidney Disease
- Myoglobinuria
- Liver Injury
- Drug Induced Hepatitis
- Other Organ Failure
